You need to understand light.
You need to understand your camera settings.
You need to navigate any environment or weather scenario, and make the background as ideal as possible.
You have to anticipate your client's needs & work as a team with other vendors...all while adhering to a strict wedding timeline.
You can have all of that mastered…but if your posing is stiff, tired, and lifeless: your subject will look awkward, uncomfortable, or too posed.
And a photograph that would’ve been timeless?
It feels off and it falls flat.
That client experience that would've been perfect?
They remember feeling awkward and have a final gallery with the same poses on repeat.
We can all agree that
If you're ready to refresh your posing & learn how i approach posing my couples to get timeless and authentic photos every time...
Over the past 16 years, I’ve studied posing and movement and have learned how to confidently direct my couples during each session and wedding day.
And let me tell you—once my new posing mindset clicked, I was able to refine my style and even highly-posed photos looked natural.
The Niki Marie Photography Posing Workshop is a 3-hour experience designed to let you come alongside Niki and learn hands-on how she photographs couples on a wedding day and during sessions.
You’ll discover exactly how she approaches posing her couples in a way that makes them feel comfortable, while capturing a mix of editorial and candid portraits her clients cherish for years to come.
Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
...I learned how to confidently pose clients in a way that feels natural and effortless. This was something that used to make me so anxious. She explained her process so thoughtfully, sharing the 'how' and the 'why' behind every moment and interaction.

Shooting Instruction (2 Outfits)
Q&A with Niki
As an attendee of the NMP Posing Workshop, you'll get to learn directly from Niki as she demonstrates her posing strategy & instruction with a couple during the 1.5-hour editorial shoot. The workshop is intentionally capped at ten people to make sure each attendee has the chance to pose the couple, photograph them, and individually receive feedback from Niki. The editorial shoot will include a couple to model, two outfit changes (at least one outfit will be wedding attire), and will take place both inside & outside the War Memorial. The workshop will end with an intensive 1-hour Q&A session in which each attendee can raise their specific posing questions with Niki for her insight and to discuss with the group.
Each attendee also has the option to join the group at a post-workshop dinner to continue the conversation and will get an exclusive discount to a follow-up virtual mentoring session with Niki for individualized advice on their business & photography.
With over a decade of experience photographing weddings and events, Niki has mastered the delicate balance of anticipating and capturing the beauty of emotional, once-in-a-lifetime moments while also authentically guiding couples to achieve classic, romantic images that they will cherish.
Niki provides wedding photography for chic, fashion-forward clients looking to capture their love story in an authentic way.
Photographing all over the globe, she has developed a classic style that has brought her a loyal base of clients and followers.
